Product Owner (Railways Team)

Emerging Travel Group (ETG) is a travel-tech company that owns four brands: RateHawk, ZenHotels, Ostrovok.ru and B2B.Ostrovok.
We are seeking a Product Owner who together with their team will create and grow the Railways product.
The Railways team is developing a project for booking railway tickets. This is the newest project in our company and organically complements the product line of existing projects in online bookings of hotels, air tickets and transfers. Our team is seeking a skilled product owner who will take a systemic approach and is ready to create the best railways product in the world.

We launch, support and develop a fantastic global multi-product system, therefore we take a super-organized approach to the process: each business line has its own mission team, consisting of various roles to ensure the product’s comprehensive development.

Your responsibilities:

• to manage the full product cycle: from the idea to the product’s launch;
• to manage processes in the team;
• to come up with your own vision for the product’s development;
• to manage the tasks backlog and interact with interfacing teams: design, development and analysis;
• to interact with the business customers, decompose the business description into development tasks;
• to manage the project documentation;
• to collect and analyze feedback from the business and clients.
  We expect you to have:
• experience working as a Product Owner / Product Manager of at least 2 years;
• experience launching complex multi-team projects;
• skills and experience in quickly building МVP with minimal resources;
• the ability to apply State, Activity and Sequence diagrams (UML, mermaid) in your work;
• the ability to read simple code in Python or any other language, to understand other ones and to explain your algorithms;
• SQL and Excel skills;
• skills in system work with analytics: you know how to build a metrics hierarchy, and to base your decisions on data;
• the ability to decompose business cases into development stages.
  Desirable:
• the ability to communicate easily with developers in technical language and with the business in business language;
• knowledge of English on В1 level: we have team members from all corners of the planet;
• independence: you don’t need to be baby-sat or pushed, and you can take decisions on your own.
